Summary

The scope of work included programming, all architectural design, interior design, landscaping design and selection of office furnishings for a 130,000 square foot new Judicial Center located within the City’s South Beach Art Deco District.

Project elements included the restoration and adaptive re-use of the 32,000 square feet Historic “Old City Hall”; design of a new five-story, 98,000 square foot police headquarters and two new parking garages accommodating 650 cars for visitors, municipal courts and the police department.

Specialized areas within the new police headquarters building include holding cells for prisoner processing, evidence/property secured storage areas, locker and gymnasium areas, computerized dispatch center for police and fire departments and a six position indoor pistol range located on the roof of the new building.
