Ground was officially broken on the Horizon West Regional Park yesterday!

The park sits on 215.25 acres at Hamlin Groves Trail and Mann Road in Horizon West and will include a plethora of amenities, such as an indoor and outdoor performance area, tennis and pickleball courts, baseball and softball fields, multi-purpose fields, a restroom/concession building, and more. B+P is providing architectural services for the project.

Horizon West Library Branch

We are also excited for the future 20,000 square-foot Horizon West Library Branch that will rest on 11 acres at the northeast corner of the Horizon West Park. The Library is designed to be incorporated into the natural landscape of the park, blending seamlessly into the surrounding area.

The Library is sited to take advantage of the unique topography of elevation changes of the Lake Wales Ridge. Sitting on the far east edge of the site, the Library overlooks the surrounding terrain, foliage, and fauna. The site and building design are integrated, with the landscape influencing the building form and interior spaces that visually extend out into the land.
