10th Anniversary of Pulse Tragedy

Today marks 10 years since the tragedy at Pulse nightclub, when 49 lives were taken and many others were wounded in an act of unimaginable violence that forever changed Orlando.

At Borrelli + Partners, like so many throughout our community, we know, love, and support members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Many of us have our own memories of Pulse; a place of joy, acceptance, friendship, and belonging. Today, we remember the 49 Angels whose lives were lost and honor their families, friends, and all those whose lives were forever impacted.

Pulse represents something greater than a single place. It represents the spirit of Orlando; an inclusive, compassionate, and resilient city that welcomes all people. Ten years later, we continue to stand together in remembrance, love, and unity.

We are deeply honored to serve as the architects for the future Pulse Memorial. For our team, contributing to this project is both a professional responsibility and a profound privilege. The memorial represents more than a physical space; it is a lasting tribute to the lives remembered and to the resilience of the Orlando community.

We believe architecture can create spaces that honor memory, support healing, and bring people together. Through thoughtful design, the evolving memorial seeks to balance landscape, memory, and place, creating an environment for reflection while honoring the stories, lives, and legacy forever connected to this sacred site.
